Affiliate disclosure
The short version: when Dropbell links to a retailer, that link is usually an affiliate link. If you click it and buy something, the retailer pays us a commission. You pay exactly the same price either way.
The full version
Dropbell is funded by affiliate commission. We participate in affiliate programmes with UK cycling retailers (via networks such as Awin). When alerts and product pages launch, links from Dropbell to retailer product pages will carry an affiliate tag identifying us as the referrer. If you buy after clicking, we typically earn a commission of a few percent of the order value, paid by the retailer.
What this does and doesn't affect
- It never affects the price you pay. Commission comes out of the retailer's margin, not your pocket.
- It never affects the prices or history we show. The tracker records what retailers list. We don't reorder results, suppress lower prices, or favour retailers that pay more commission.
- It never creates fake urgency. No countdown timers, no invented "was" prices. Every historical price we show is one we recorded ourselves, with the date we recorded it.
Where you'll see affiliate links
Product pages, alert emails, the weekly digest, and occasionally guides when we link to a specific product at a specific retailer. Any page or email containing affiliate links carries a disclosure like this one. This wording follows UK ASA/CMA guidance that advertising and affiliate relationships must be made clear to consumers before they engage with the links.
